For a week of law internship interviews, I reached out to Monica to prepare me for any questions I might encounter.
I found Monica's manner pleasant, relaxing, and very professional. We coordinated expectations for the preparation and what I wanted to focus on, as well as my personal difficulties during the interviews. Monica helped me find ways to cope with my difficulties based on my personal needs. Additionally, Monica gave me a simulation of various questions in order to assess how I approach open questions. Each lesson is presented in an orderly, precise, and detailed manner until you feel you have mastered the material, and only then do you proceed. Along with her skills as a professional teacher, Monica is very humane and considerate of her students' needs (flexibility in times, availability - even when she judged competitions outside of Israel, I wrote to her about things I didn't understand and she responded), which are not obvious traits these days.
During the lesson, Monica simplifies complex concepts and adapts to the student's needs. She always understands how to grab attention and incorporates humor when necessary. The Roman general Julius Caesar once said, "I came; I saw; I conquered". His intention was to take by force, violence, and coercion. In the liberal democratic part of the world, persuasion and rhetoric have replaced the sword, violence, and coercion in most cases. My experience of taking and enjoying debating classes and workshops with Monica Forman (who also raises and trains debating world champions) makes me believe that the rhetorical weapons I have received from her are at least equivalent to real weapons. Through the course, debate elements are analyzed in a formal way, intuition is given structure, thus improving the ability to present a position effectively. There are many aspects of the material that are applicable outside the world of debate, such as how to build and present an argument, how to summarize effectively, and how to concentrate on what is important.
At first, participating in a debate seems like jumping into the deep end, but it quickly becomes a lot of fun. In order to succeed, you need to think fast, be attentive to others, abort ideas, and change strategies along the way. Participating in debate sharpens all of these skills.

In the Talpiot elite program for technological leadership in the IDF, Monica offers a debate course consisting of several sessions to trainees during their first and second years.
It developed in the trainees the abilities that Talpiot graduates must master: presentation of solutions and persuasion, separating the wheat from the chaff, a sense of competence, public speaking abilities and leadership. Lessons included exercises that required trainees to practice these skills. Consequently, the rhetorical techniques learned were not only understood at a theoretical level, but also incorporated into the way trainees communicate, persuade, and argue. Furthermore, in a program whose workload is heavy, trainees awaited the lessons with anticipation and attended the workshop in high demand.
